Accessibility

With accessibility as one of its core values, Gifted Music School is dedicated to the policy and practice of equal opportunity in education and employment. Gifted Music School is committed to maintaining compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Gifted Music School continuously explores new ideas and methods for making our programs and services more accessible and inclusive.

We invite guests to contact accommodations@giftedmusicschool.org in advance to let us know how we can accommodate the specific needs of your party.

Campus

Both entrances to the Leon and Karen F. Peterson Building can be accessed by ramps. The building also has an elevator on the west side of the building for those who are unable to take the stairs. Gifted Music School also offers wheelchair-accessible restrooms. Service animals are always welcome.

Events

At Gifted Music School, we are committed to making our events and performances accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. As the Leon and Karen F. Peterson Building does not have a large concert hall, several of Gifted Music School's events will take place at off-campus venues. We understand that accessibility needs may vary from venue to venue, and we strive to ensure that all guests can fully participate in our events. We make every effort to ensure the venues we book are accessible.

If you require accommodations to attend one of our off-campus events, please contact us in advance. We encourage guests to contact us at accommodations@giftedmusicschool.org at least two (2) weeks prior to the event to make any special requests. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and ensure that you can fully participate in the event.

Please note that accommodations may vary depending on the venue and the availability of resources. We will work with each venue to ensure that accessibility needs are addressed to the best of our ability. If you have any questions or concerns regarding accessibility at our off-campus events, please do not hesitate to contact us. We appreciate your feedback and are committed to making our events inclusive and accessible for all guests.
