Music Lesson and Classes
Preparatory Orchestra
This beginning to early- intermediate youth orchestra provides young musicians who are just learning how to note read the opportunity to engage with peers in a fun and social, team-building musical experience. Students learn how to play in an ensemble and hold their own part, follow a conductor, learn when to be a soloist vs accompanist to other orchestra sections, why note reading is vital to their musical journey, and rehearsal and concert etiquette. An orchestra of combined ages provides a safe space for older beginners who likely do not feel comfortable in a smaller group class of younger children. Open to strings, woodwinds and brass!
