Financial Aid Information
Gifted Music School is committed to making quality music education accessible to dedicated students of all backgrounds. Through the generosity of our donors, we can accomplish this by offering a limited number of need-based, partial tuition scholarship awards each year.
Note: Applying does not guarantee any financial assistance will be granted—the scholarship committee reviews all applications and makes award decisions based on demonstrated financial need and available funds. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Scholarship Committee at scholarships@giftedmusicschool.org.
2025-2026 Financial Aid Application Deadlines
All applications for financial aid must be submitted by the corresponding semester’s posted deadline. Applications submitted after this date cannot be considered until the next semester.
The deadline for Spring 2026 Financial Aid applications is December 18, 2025 by 5:00pm
Eligibility
Dedicated, hard-working students who demonstrate (1) a commitment to focused, high-level music education and (2) financial need for tuition assistance are eligible to apply for a scholarship.
Note: New students in financial hardship are encouraged to apply; however, due to limited funds, preference may be given to students enrolled for one or more semesters.
Scholarship recipients are required to maintain the following standards:
1. Access to the instrument for daily practice.
2. Demonstration of dedicated work as reported by instructor(s).
3. 100% attendance, except in case of family emergency or illness.
4. Compliance with school policies and procedures, signed at the beginning of each year.
5. Demonstrated continued need for financial assistance.
6. Scholarship recipients are required to submit a one-page written testimonial describing how the scholarship has impacted their musical growth and experience at the end of each year.
7. Upon request, scholarship recipients are expected to participate in major showcases, either as soloists or in chamber ensembles.
8. If a scholarship is named in honor of specific donors (e.g., Hsu, Dummer, and Bagley), recipients are required to write thank-you letters to acknowledge and express appreciation for their support.
Note: Scholarships are awarded annually and are eligible for renewal each fall; however, they are reviewed on a semester basis. Any student not adhering to the above standards may have their scholarship revoked.
