What To Expect With Gifted Music School Flute Lessons
- Weekly lessons: 15 in the fall semester, 17 in the spring, with holiday breaks included.
- Summer lessons: Flexible schedule, with a minimum of six lessons required to retain a spot in the studio.
- Preferred in-person format: remote lessons available based on teacher discretion.
- Lesson durations: 30, 45, and 60 minutes are common, with extended 75 or 90-minute lessons for advanced students.
- Studio recital: Each semester includes a performance opportunity for students to showcase their progress.

With a rich background in both performance and education, Gabriel Gutierrez brings his passion for flute to Gifted Music School. A graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso and Bowling Green State University, Gabriel has performed with esteemed ensembles like the El Paso Symphony, Salt Lake Symphony, and Salt Lake Choral Artists. His dedication to excellence is evident in his diverse experience, from winning concerto competitions to participating in masterclasses with renowned flutists. Gabriel’s expertise and enthusiasm inspire students to grow as both musicians and artists.

Who Are Flute Lessons For?
Gifted Music School’s Preparatory Program offers world-class training for students of all ages and levels, from young beginners to adults—our oldest student is 90!
Most of our programs are designed to support growth from preschool through high school graduation, we provide an integrated pathway for musical and personal development. Every program contributes to our goal of fostering future community leaders, engaged citizens, and passionate musicians.
What Will Students Learn?
In flute classes at Gifted Music School, students will develop a strong foundation in both technical skill and musical artistry. From learning how to master breath control, embouchure, (proper mouth shape) and finger placement, each lesson is tailored to help students produce a clear, beautiful tone. Student will also learning proper articulation and tonguing to be able to start and stop notes cleanly
Through personalized instruction and ensemble experiences, students explore a variety of musical styles, improve their articulation, and build confidence as performers. With a focus on nurturing growth, creativity, and joy in music.
How Much Do Flute Lessons Cost?

The lesson package includes all regular lessons, studio recitals, and group performance opportunities, providing a well-rounded musical education.
