Ralph Matson

Bio

Recently retired after more than 30 years as Utah Symphony concertmaster, Ralph Matson leaves an orchestra career having served as concertmaster or assistant in the orchestras of Utah, Minnesota and the Grand Teton Music Festival. He has also been a member of the Cleveland Orchestra. Mr.  Matson received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Yale College and School of Music.
His principal teachers were Joseph Silverstein and Steven Staryk.
