Bio

Suzannah Rose earned a Master of Music in Piano Performance from Brigham Young University studying with Dr. Stephen Beus, and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy from the University of Utah studying with Dr. Vedrana Subotic (piano) and Dr. Pamela Jones (harpsichord). She has over a decade of teaching experience during which she has taught music theory, aural skills, sight singing, group piano, and private piano for all ages and levels from elementary school children to college students at Brigham Young University. She is an instructor in the University of Utah’s Piano Preparatory Division and maintains a private piano studio. Over the years, Suzannah has been an active member of MTNA, holding leadership positions in collegiate chapters and presenting at both state and national conferences. She currently sits on the UMTA Composer Commission Committee and UMTA Conference Committee.

 

Suzannah is an award-winning pianist who has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician locally, nationally, and abroad. Her performances have taken her from Carnegie Hall to Tokyo, and at venues across the state of Utah including Abravanel Hall, the St. George Tabernacle, Libby Gardner Hall, and the Gallivan Center. She has enjoyed pursuing music studies abroad in Vienna, Austria, as well as in the UK, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Italy.

 

When she’s not at the piano, Suzannah enjoys reading, kayaking, and word games.
